Kelly Meilstrup

OWNER + ATTORNEY, 2ND CHAIR

2nd-Chair was born out of my experience with the law and love for professional collaboration. I have served as a criminal defense attorney for over 12 years, including 3 years as a Colorado Public Defender, where I tried over 40 misdemeanor or felony cases. I have also assisted in death penalty cases and multi-million page federal prosecutions.

Currently, I have a contract with the Alternate Defense Counsel (ADC) and the Criminal Justice Act (CJA) panel in the 10th Circuit, District of Colorado, Western District of Washington and Alaska as a research and writing attorney, lead counsel, or 2nd Chair attorney. I am licensed in and have practiced law in state and federal courts in California, Colorado, New York, and Washington.

My extensive legal experience has given me the skills and understanding necessary to successfully assist attorneys with complex cases. I will work efficiently to get the job done and tirelessly to deliver high-end results so you can accomplish your goals and check items off your to-do list.
